Catrice Poison me Poison you "Poisoned with Purple"

Hello dear readers!

Well since it is a very long time since my last post I am really curious about you all?
I do hope you are okay and are feeling great.
Because of my own health I had to step down for a while and took my necessary rest.
But I'm feeling some better now so it is time to make a new post :-)
Since my last post I broke my two nails from my indexfingers so my nails looked a bit sad.
In the mean time they have grown a lot again.

Well for today I used a mani which I made at the end of April.
At that moment Catrice had some really nice and lovely shades coming out.
This one is a gorgeous pink one. I am still a sucker for purples and blues.




I did two layers of purple and it really looked great.
It is an opaque color. It's a purple shimmer with a red tone.

I love it very much of course.
Well you can have a look for yourself.

Essence Show your feet "Dashing with Flashy Pink"

Goodmorning!

This rainy sunday I have a flashy mani for you all.
Still busy and not feeling like I should be :-(
Fortunately I have a little supply of some mani's I did a while ago.
So I can use them in times like this.





I did a mani looking quite prominent I think.
It's a bright pink color from Essence.
The name speaks for itself.
Flashy Pink. And flashy she is. Wow such a bright creme polish.
With one layer it is already quite opaque but I did two layers to be sure.
I have to say that its formula was oke this time.

Actually it is from the "Show your feet" collection.
But they do great on your hands :-)
After polishing I did some striping and decoration.
Just because I like nailart so much.
Well struggling with the tape but in the end it stuck finally to my nails.
Pff....don't know if you also have these problems by appling this tape?
What am I doing wrong???


And finishing with those gorgeous studs wich I got from DollarnailArt.
I think the result was really nice!

From nails to swimmdresses :-)

Goodmorning dear ones,

Today a rainy day in The Netherlands. Brrrr and it's cold once again.
Where is our spring??? I want it back :-)
And how are you doing?
I especially want to thank my fellowbloggers who responded at my yesterday's post.
Thank you girls. I appriciated this a lot. It is something to remember, this should not happen again.

Today a post about my dear sister in law and her hubby.
My sister in law had a training some years ago to be a nailtechnican.
She almost got her own salon at her house but she didn't go through with it.
Nowadays she has a pair of lovely gelnails. From another salon!
I was allowed to make some pictures of her mani.
She especially got this mani because she and her hubby were going to a big stockmarket to promote their own business.






After not starting her nailbusiness she and her husband started a gorgeous webshop a while ago named "Beauty-vol".
And no nails to find I can tell you ;-(
But they sell the most gorgeous swimdresses and tunics and more!
This webshop provides in swimwear-fashion for people with sizes 42-64.
So this is so great for the shapely women.
I can imagine they do not want to put on a bikini or a regular swimsuit.
So thatswhy she started this business. Having a bigger size herself too she does know how people feel about this issue.
Me wearing a size 38/40 can't buy anything from her unfortunately. She really has great stuff going on there.



If you like you can take a look over there she would love to see you all.
She sells worldwide so it doesn't matter where you live.

In Memoriam Queensday 2009

Dear readers,

Today a post about our Queensday 2009.
This post I tribute to all the people who were involded in this tragedy:

In remembrance of the people who died and got injured last Queensdag 30-04-2009.

The 2009 attack on the Dutch Royal Family occurred in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, where a man drove his car at high speed into a parade which included Queen Beatrix, Prince Willem-Alexander and other members of the Dutch royal family; the attack happened on April 30, the Dutch national holiday of Koninginnedag (Queen's Day).
The vehicle drove through people lining the street watching the parade, leaving eight dead and ten injured. It narrowly missed the royal family and crashed into a monument at the side of the road. No members of the royal family were harmed. This attack was the first attack on the Dutch royal family in modern times.

In Apeldoorn there was a memorial about the dramatic events. It took place yesterday.
Queen Beatrix and Mayor Fred de Graaf unveiled a memorial commemorating for the victims around 16.20 hours. Then there was a moment of silence and then the people who were present laid white roses at the monument.




"Het Herinneringsmonument 30 april 2009" The monument was made by the artist Menno Jonker.



The metal box with granite lids is situated under an oak tree opposite the needle. The box contains some glass balloons. Seven white balloons were changed color. They symbolize the seven victims who died in the attack. Some other balloons have retained their color.
There is no balloon for the person which was responsible for this tragedy.

My thoughts are with all the people who lost a dear one in this tragedy.
My special thoughts are also for the parents and family of the person who caused this all. They lost their son which is as bad for them as it was for all the other relatives of all the victims who lost their lives because of him.
My thoughts are also at those people who were badly injured because of this attack.
They had to suffer a great deal.
The Royal Family has my thoughts too, they were very dazed by all this.

I wish everybody, which were involded in any way, a great deal of strenght especially today. Memory's from last year will make this day very hard for all of you.

My deepest sympathy for you all.

American Manicure with Models Own

Hello dear readers,

Another gorgeous day over here.
Having this week of and having such great wheater.
Wow....that's really having luck!
My hubby is so busy working in our garden.
He is making a new fence in the back of our little
garden.
It looks great already and I'm so happy with it.
Finally some privacy over here when we are outside.
Yeahhhh!!

But how are you??
I hope you're all oke and having such nice wheater as we have over here.

Today a mani from a couple of days ago.
This is a American manicure.
The idea was from Lacquerized. and she picked the colors and did my mani.
For the white tip I used a white nailtip color from Elegant Touch Then a finish of Models Own, a soft pink one called Buff Pink.





For the tip I used two layers and 3 layers of Models Own.

This mani I used as a base for my contest/entry which you still can see at Glamorous Geek Chic





Well have a look at it.

Playdate with the girls and the polishes :-) and Milani Hi-Tech holo

Hi guys........

How are you doing?

Today a gorgeous sunny day and we worked in our garden.
My parents in law were visiting us today because we have a week off from work.
So we were working in our garden all together (and my nails are still long, didn't shorten them yet :-( ).
It was a lovely day!

But last sunday we had a playdate over here at my home.
Natasja (she don't has a blog), Michelle from The Lacquer Files, Daph from Nailswatches and of course Michèle from Lacquerized. (my daughter)
And we had so much fun.
I'm looking forward for our next playdate!!!

So much gorgeous and awesome polishes together that I couldn't decide what to do :-(
Just sitting and looking at all those bottles......
It could drive you nuts .... hahahahaha.......
But we all had that issue :-)

China Glaze "Admire on Awaken"

Hello sweet people,

Hope you are all doing fine?
Over here nothing changed much, still busy!

Today a follow-up of China Glaze Awaken.
I did a Fauxnad, nr. H29 and used Admire also from the China Glaze Romantique collection.
This is such a sweet lovely color, I love this collection so much.








It didn't went as well as I hoped :-( The fauxnad is alittle blurry I guess.
Well have to try it better next tiime.
