American Apparel "The Mouse in Pied de Poule"

Hello sweet readers.

How are you all doing on this (in the Netherlands) gorgeous Saturday?
Hope you are still fine!

Last week was a week with some nice trips, of course workrelated but it was fun.
Tuesday I went to "Grand Kasteel Woerden".

In the French period, opponents of the Bonapartes, as the writer Maria Aletta Hulshoff, were locked in this Dutch Bastille. The castle has had many purposes. Not only as a defense work (military) prison (until 1872) and hospital until 2002, the castle also had the function of central clothing warehouse of the Ministry of Defense. when the moat was dug, the castle was the scene of the oldest citizen of Netherlands Taptoe (musicband), the local "Friendship Harmony". After the restoration in the late eighties, the castle was used as temporary office space for a business. In 2006 the municipality of Woerden launched plans to convert the castle to housing. Residents of Woerden participated in how the complex would look like. Since 2007 the castle is used partially as a hospitality accomodation and is used as a weddinglocation.

Okay back to the nailpoish :-)
My daughter Michèle order some nailpolish from American Apparel for me.
I have three of them but for this mani I choose a nice grey-taupe color.

I did two lyers of it. This was not the most easy application to do.
The polish was gloppie and the brush wasn't my favorite also.
Maybe I have to use some thinner to make it more liquid.
Next time I try.
The color is very pretty, a soft shade of grey-taupe. It's a creme formula.

Afterwards I used some konad plate M63 and glitter. Because of the lenght of my nails
I should double stamp them but I did it on my thumb and it wasn't so nice.
Even the width of the stamp didn't fit my nails.

The pattern of the plate is called in Holland "Pied de Poule" in English Houndstooth, houndstooth check or hound's tooth. It is a duotone textile pattern, characterized by broken checks or abstract four-pointed shapes. The traditional colours are black and white, although now other colours are occasionally substituted for the black or the white.

Well I do hope you like it!
Take care and see you next time.
Have a great weekend and enjoy life.

Love Romika.

Well today I pimped my P2 Chic a little bit.

For stamping I used Konad pastel pink.
I decorated it with some lovely nailart from Nfu Oh's.
A little jar with silver threads.
From Essence Nail Art I used the purple stones.
For the tiny butterfly I used a Konadplate nr. M15

China Glaze Millennium

Another day and another story..............

Hello dear people........nice to see you again today!

Last week when I had my day off I was thinking what I
would do with my nails.
I ordered some nailart with Dollar Nail Art some weeks ago and finally
it arrived . It was at customs unfortunately :-(
But now it is here I am very happy with it.
I do love the tiny decorations for my nails which they sent me.
So I have a lot of new ideas to achieve.

So I did a mani with China Glaze Millennium.
Such a gorgeous polish. I'm hooked up to this one.
I use it a lot for stamping. It's so beautiful.

But this time I didn't use it for stamping but as a base
for some Fauxnad.
For the pattern I used the Fauxnad plate A05 and stampingpolish
from Konad. A gorgeous purple-blue one.
Afterwards I decorated them with 1,5mm silver dots.
They are so cute :-))
Because the plate is too small for my nails I did a little
French with some glitterpowder.

Well it is a kind of goodbye wintermani I think.

I hope you like it again and please let me know what you think of it.

Thank you for stopping by again and see you some other time.
Take care and embrace live.

Love from me........

Models Own "A Pimped Peacock"

Hello you all!

Well yesterday I did my nails with Peacock Green from Models Own.
I was snowing almost all day so I took my pictures outside in the snow.
Afterwards I did a little Fauxnad on them.

You can find these plates at "Chez Delaney".

But it didn't go very well, after hanging my laundry I lost some stripes in
the pattern :-(
But I post it anyway.

It was just for fun.

I used a new plate which I ordered on the internet.
They are called Fauxnad (not being a original Konad).
I used number Large H25.
I stamped with Konad Special Nail Polish White.

Well have a great day and thanks for looking.
See you soon!

A little purple comparison

Goodevening everyone!

As I said today a new mani.
I've tried some purple ones to make a comparison for the color.

I'm not very good at this but I will give it a try.

I searched for some nice purple colors in my stash and came up with these ones:

Lefthand:
Indexfinger: H&M Goddess On Stage: 3 layers and appling went good.
Middle finger: Max Nails Purple: 3 layers and applying wasn't easy. Thin polish.
Ring finger: Essence Show your feet Purple Magic 03: 2 layers Really easy to apply.
Pinkie: H&M Fashionista: 3 layers but nice to apply.

Righthand:
Indexfinger: Gosh Gasoline 541: 5 layers, application wasn't very good.
Middlefinger: China GlazeLOL 637 (holo): 3 layers, also difficult to apply.
Ring finger: H&M Wicked Purple: 3 layers and application was good.
Pinkie: Collistar Viola Glitter 043: 3 layers but great application.

Again troubles making the photo's :-(
We have a lightbox but I'm not good at it.
So some pictures are from the lightbox and some are under artifical light.

Well I'm just a starter with this and next time I'll to try to be more specific about everything.

Afterwards a little konad.
As you can see the konadplates are much to small for my nails.
I ordered with Delaney's so they might have a better fit for my nails.

Well this was it again for now.
Don't know when I've got time for a new post but you will see it!!

Have a nice evening and take care and see you next time.
